At the IAYC, we have a songbook that contains lyrics and chords of songs that are particularly popular or fitting for the camp’s atmosphere. The original songbook pre-dates 1984 and was compiled by Martin Grossman and Sabine Kreiling, but we don’t currently have a copy in our archive. I’ve made playlists of the IAYC songbooks we do have in the archive, from 1993-present.

I’m still missing the pre-1984, 1984, 1989, and 2013 versions. If you have them, or spot a mistake in any of the playlists, please get in touch with me via email (nikki at iayc dot org).

If you’re interested in the trends of songs and artists included in the songbook throughout the years, you can download the CSV file containing the full list of songs. As an example, I made one quick plot to see how the prevalence of the five most popular “artists” changed between the songbooks.
